Running out of ideas is the most common reason creators post less than they want to. These seven formats work across many industries, need very little equipment, and are easy for a brand to picture in its own campaigns.
1. The honest first impression
Film your real reaction the first time you try the product: the packaging, the texture, the smell, the first use. Keep the reaction natural. If something is not perfect, say so kindly. Honest reactions are more believable than perfect ones.
2. The unboxing
Show the product arriving and what is inside. Focus on details a customer would care about: how it is packed, what is included, and whether it feels worth the price. Works well for beauty, fashion, tech and gifts.
3. The how-to
Teach one small thing in under 45 seconds: how to apply, cook, style or set up the product. Open with the result so viewers stay to see how you got there.
4. Before and after
Show a clear difference over time or after one use. Keep the setting, light and angle the same so the comparison is fair, and never exaggerate the result.
5. A day in my routine
Place the product inside a real moment of your day: your morning routine, a quick lunch, a workout. It shows how the product fits into normal life, which is exactly what a brand wants customers to imagine.
6. Problem and solution
Start with a relatable problem ("my hair gets flat by noon") and show how the product helped. Brands love this format because the first three seconds already hook the viewer.
7. The testimonial
Speak straight to the camera for 20 to 30 seconds: what you used, why you liked it, and who you would recommend it to. Simple, calm, and clear.
Tips to make any idea stronger
- Open with a hook in the first two seconds
- Use daylight or a soft light near a window
- Keep audio clean and let the product be visible
- Add short captions for viewers watching without sound
- End with one clear next step
Pick two formats, make three versions of each, and add the best ones to your portfolio. Then turn them into clear content packages on your Talents profile.
